Find Your Spark: A Chat About Overcoming Burnout and Discovering Purpose
I have had periods in my life where I’ve wondered, is this all there is? Why don’t I feel happier? I’d look around and see a life that I thought “should” make me feel happy so why wasn’t I feeling happy?
Since I know I’m not alone, I’m so excited for you to listen in to this week’s podcast interview with Summer McStravick. She has also had this experience and together, we put our coach heads together and talked about all the things! We spoke about feeling burntout, about feeling purposeless, about how sometimes we felt like we were barely holding it together.
This is a perfect episode for you. If you’re listening live time, please listen in with your true warrior brain so you can appreciate what you have while also dream and want something different in your future. Both can be true. I know I used to shame myself by thinking that if I wanted something more or something different that meant I wasn’t grateful for what I have. Nope. It means you’re human.
We talk about all the things and Summer gives you actual things to practice as we feel the gratitude for what we have while getting super excited about what’s to come.
Listen in and then join us in the Love Your Life School so I can help you put those dreams and flowdreaming into action.
Summer McStravick and Flowdreaming
Summer has created something called flowdreaming and is passionate about teaching us how to use it. If you’re in the Love Your Life School, it’s similar to the exercises we do on future self and this meditation my husband made for us here.
Manifesting isn’t Confusing or WooWoo
I notice that when manifesting is spoken about, it’s often describing a sort of woowoo, spiritual thing that some people do. Rather, I’d like you to see that we’re all doing it, it’s just are we doing it in a way that’s helpful for us. Essentially it’s how we think of the future. Many of us worry about our future or think of things that will happen in the future that are very similar to how things are happening in the present. For example, say you are visiting with relatives over the holidays and we’ve spoken about setting some boundaries for healthier relationships and conversations. Many people will “manifest” and say, that’s not possible for me. Or, that won’t work with my mom. We are thinking of the future in a negative way, and thus (usually) manifest what we imagine. When we think it’s not possible for our relationship with our mom, what are we likely to do? Keep engaging in the same way. Alternatively, if we push pause on thinking the thoughts we’ve always thought about our life to imagine a future different than our future, we will create, aka manifest, that future.
It’s not confusing or woowoo at all. When you think change is possible, you imagine what that change may look like (flowdreaming) and then take action to make it so. That’s manifesting warriors!
There’s nothing spiritual, woowoo or confusing about it. In fact, it goes back to Einstein’s genius quote, if you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you can’t.
It’s actually about taking our power back in order to manifest the future we want, not one based on habitual thinking or behavioral patterns. I can’t wait for you to listen in.
