In the past, I'd spend a lot of time trying to understand why my husband or my dad acted the way they did. 🤔I'd look to their past and seek to understand why they were acting the way they were acting towards me.Fine.What I didn't do (until later)was to discern between understanding and accepting. 🤯Amazing podcast guest @heyamygreensmith and I dove into this in today's episode and our conversation was so helpful for me. One of my midlife wellness hacks is I aim to ✨POP✨ at every meal (protein, olive oil, produce). It fills me up and is kind to my future self.This mixed bowl is one of my favorite go tos because it’s easy:-put Olive oil in stainless pan-add Tumeric, salt, pepper, chili, sometimes ginger and garlic (if I have the minced kind in the fridge)-put tofu in pan to sauté-cut up mushrooms and zucchini (2 of my fave veggies) put in bottom of bowl, put 2-3 handfuls of frozen organic spinach and peas on top of mushies and zuke, put in microwave to defrost (it also cooks mushies and zuke)-back to tofu, add shredded cabbage, leftover chicken.When veggies done, put in pan, stir so everything’s seasoned, top w 2 big handfuls of bamboo sprouts (makes me think I’m eating noodles but my midlife belly likes to add weight w noodles) And voila!(And PLEASE…I’m sure I shouldn’t be using the microwave and could be dicing garlic myself but I also could be eating a Big Mac so….🤷🏼‍♀️)👉🏽What are some of your quick and easy lunches?#wellnesswednesday#perimenopausehealth #midlifeweightloss #lunchideasformoms #midlifewomen #easylunches #healthylunches #healthyideas
