10 All Natural Ways to Beat Anxiety

10 All Natural Ways to Beat Anxiety

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S. right now and it’s on the rise; affecting all age groups.
It’s imperative for us to look at why this is a trend and the role we play so that we can stop reverse it. I’ve done this in a lot of past posts so for today, let’s look at ways that we can help ourselves feel less anxious naturally.
These are 10 free, chemical-free things we can do to help set us up so we don’t experience as much anxiety and also to help us when we’re in the thick of it.
It’s not that anxiety won’t happen. In fact, it’s not a goal to go through life anxiety or worry free. Most fear is a sign that we’re pushing ourselves, that we’re living up to our potential here on earth. That said, there’s a reason why people pop a pill: It’s easier. Choosing to do some of these things aren’t easy but keep at it warrior.
You’re not here for easy.
You’re here to live a full life.
You’re here to thrive.
Join me and let’s take it to the next level of awesomeness!

How To Raise Emotionally Intelligent Kids

How To Raise Emotionally Intelligent Kids

Why do we expect kids to do things we don’t or can’t do?
In the same way that I can not expect my kids to have control of their phone usage if I don’t have control of my phone usage. I can’t expect my kids to process their emotions if I can’t process mine.
In the same way that I can’t expect my kids to choose food that is healthy for their bodies if I don’t choose healthy foods for my body. I can not teach my kids how to regulate their emotions if I don’t know how to regulate mine.
In order for our kids to be able to process their emotions from a strong, empowered place, we parents have to know how to do that. Yet whoa, if you’re anything like me, I did not know how to manage my own emotions in effective, healthy ways. I certainly knew how to manage my emotions in ineffective, unhealthy ways: over eating, drinking, blaming others, procrastinating, etc. But how to process them in helpful ways?
Enter this podcast!
Listen in because it’s actually quite simple.
3 Steps.
Let’s go.
Life is meant to be lived fully and that means we get to learn how to feel all the emotions.

Your Spiritual Alarm Clock Is Going Off

Your Spiritual Alarm Clock Is Going Off

Yoo hoo…your alarm clock is going off.
You know that area of your life that just doesn’t “feel” right?
Where you feel like you’re always doing what other people want instead of what you want?
Or, do you feel like no one knows the real you? That if people knew the “real you” they’d turn and run?
The feeling you have when you think of those things is your spiritual alarm clock.

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyways

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyways

When I ask most people why they’re not doing what they want to be doing it comes down to fear.
Fear of what others will think;
Fear of our child or a loved one struggling;
Fear of failing;
Fear of the unknown;
Fear of missing out.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. I get it. Yet…
I encourage you to see fear as a sign that you’re on the right path. To open your mind to see that pain is a precursor to growth. Our muscles literally tear apart in order to grow. After you push through a challenging workout, how do you feel? Strong. Confident. Proud. The same thing happens emotionally. After we allow our painful feeling and learn from it, how do we feel afterwards? Like a badass. Like a warrior. Like a stronger, more evolved version of you!
The path of the warrior is to shift from avoiding fear to viewing it as your teacher. Listen in as I help give you tools to feel the fear and do it anyways.

4 Things You Must Do To Live a Life You Love

4 Things You Must Do To Live a Life You Love

I have the best job in the world.
I get to see people’s best selves.
It’s like I have a superpower. Everywhere I look, I see people’s potential.
When I work with people, it’s almost as if I’m working with 2 people: their current self and their future best self.
I see what’s possible for them. I can see the joy, freedom, and ease that’s possible in their future.
Here’s what I can’t do: I can’t make that future self a reality for them. I can’t force them to think certain things. I can’t force them to take certain actions.
As a coach, I can have all the knowledge, share all the fancy tools, and be full of amazing encouragement. Yet if clients don’t believe in my future vision for them, it will never happen for them. If they don’t believe that it’s possible for them, they won’t take the action necessary to become that future best self.
Learn the 4 things you must do to live that life that my superpower can see for you!
