5 Pillars of Parenting Teens

5 Pillars of Parenting Teens

Parenting is never easy. In fact, I sometimes refer to it as the biggest self development class on steroids. Right now, it’s really not easy. We parents can find a lot to worry about and our kids are feeling a lot of discomfort.
Join me on the show today as I revisit the five pillars of parenting.
These five pillars of parenting provide a supportive framework as we consciously and mindfully parent our children.
I refer to these 5 pillars as a coach frequently and as a mom daily.
I’m with you on this journey, dear sweet warrior.
Please reach out to me if you’re struggling. You are not meant to do this alone.

Delusional Thinking

Delusional Thinking

I have often been accused of delusional thinking…
of thinking too positively.
Bad news for my foes: I hope to continue to be accused of delusional thinking far into the future.
You know why?
That means I’m pushing the limits of what people believe and what they think is possible for the future and for them.
Why aren’t we living the lives we want to be living? Because we don’t believe it’s possible.
This episode is all about giving you permission to believe bigger.
To question what is being told to you.
Listen in and let me know where you’re going to think a bit bigger….where will you be accused of delusional thinking?
Let’s go!

Radical Responsibility

Radical Responsibility

It seems easier to blame.
Blaming others feels justified.
Blaming someone or something for what’s happening in your life seems easier.
Yet…
it doesn’t feel better.
Blaming others for why we feel how we feel or why our life is as it is leads us to feeling out of control and anxious.
It leads us to trying to control things outside of our influence:
other people and their actions..
Two simple things to feel more in control today.
I’m in, are you?

Dirty Pain

Dirty Pain

You’ve heard me say, time and time again, life is not always full of rainbows and daisies.
Yet, there are rainbows and daisies right?
When you come across a garden full of daisies, do you see the bright colors of the flowers, reaching up for the sun?
Or do you see the patches of dirt or weeds between the flowers?
Life is full of contrast.
It all comes down to what we choose to focus on.
Join me as I explain the difference between clean pain and dirty pain and how it’s made all the difference for me.
