Life Lesson from the Beach

Life Lesson from the Beach

Whenever I’m on vacation, I find myself reflecting on where I am, where I’ve been and where I’m going.
This visit was no different and one day found myself openly sobbing on the beach while lifting my arms in the air in gratitude and praise.
I got out my phone and recorded this podcast.
Please pop this quick episode in your ears and join me in reflecting on the beach.

5 Rules for Great Conversations

5 Rules for Great Conversations

Relationships are a necessary piece of our human existence.
From the moment we are born, we strive to connect and attach with the other beings in our lives.
In order to have deep connected relationships we get to have deep connected conversations with those we’re in relationship with. In thriving relationships, you’ll have plenty of opportunities for deep or difficult conversations and this is a good thing. Expect it as that means you’re growing, striving, and moving into that next great level.
When a topic comes up for discussion, instead of resisting it or putting it of, follow these 5 steps to strengthen the connection in your important relationships and have GREAT conversations!

What Do You Believe Is Possible For You?

What Do You Believe Is Possible For You?

What do you think is possible for you?
Is this the life you had dreamed of?
Is this the marriage you thought you’d be in?
Is this the parent you thought you’d be?
Is this how you thought you’d feel at your age?
If not, why not?
It all goes back to what we believe is possible.
In this post I dive into what a belief is, where thoughts come from, how we limit ourselves, and invite you to fight for the best possible life situation for yourself.
Join me as I invite you to believe whatever the heck you want to believe.
If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you can’t.
If you think it’s not possible for you, it’s not. If you think it is possible for you, it is.
Our lives are a reflection of the stories we tell ourselves.
What are you telling yourself?
What excuses are you making for yourself that don’t serve you? That don’t help you be your best self?
What can you tell yourself instead?

Things Mentally Strong People DON’T Do with Amy Morin

Things Mentally Strong People DON’T Do with Amy Morin

Say you want to improve your physical strength. You know there are things TO do: move your body, sleep, eat more whole foods, etc… I’ll bet you also know there are things NOT to do: skip workouts, eat plenty of sugar and white flour, spend a lot of time on the couch with your hand in a bag of chips?

Same goes for mental strength.

Amy Morin is a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and psychology lecturer at Northeastern University. She’s an international bestselling author of three books that have been translated into 35 languages. And…this week she’s on the Love Your Life Show explaining how she came to write her first book: 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do.

She went on to write two more books: 13 Things Mentally Strong Parents Don’t Do and 13 Things Mentally Strong Women Don’t Do (Yes, all books have a different 13 things). I’ve devoured all 3 books and am beyond thrilled to bring this amazing resource of a human being on the show for all of you to hear.

Listen in as we discuss which of the 13 things I think you find the most challenging and that I find to be most challenging to NOT do; as a person, a parent, and a woman.

I’ve been a long time fan of Amy’s and am honored she took time to speak with me so I could share her message out to all of you. In this episode we give you tools and guidance on how to have the mental strength that sets us up to live a life we LOVE!
