Lessons As I Age: 48 Things

Lessons As I Age: 48 Things

I move forward into the 48th year of my life excited for it all and share 48 things: 10 things I do to stay mentally strong, 10 things I don’t do; 10 things I do to get out of a funk, 8 things I don’t do, and 10 life lessons.
In many ways, I could write a blog post on any one of these (and I have on many of them). Don’t miss this week’s Warrior Women discussion (Thursday at 10:30 AM Est) as I can elaborate on any of these. Remember warriors, growing older is a great thing! Raise your head up, pull your shoulders back, and go out there and live the life YOU want to be living. facebook.com/groups/smbwell

Your Spiritual Alarm Clock Is Going Off

Your Spiritual Alarm Clock Is Going Off

Yoo hoo…your alarm clock is going off.
You know that area of your life that just doesn’t “feel” right?
Where you feel like you’re always doing what other people want instead of what you want?
Or, do you feel like no one knows the real you? That if people knew the “real you” they’d turn and run?
The feeling you have when you think of those things is your spiritual alarm clock.

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyways

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyways

When I ask most people why they’re not doing what they want to be doing it comes down to fear.
Fear of what others will think;
Fear of our child or a loved one struggling;
Fear of failing;
Fear of the unknown;
Fear of missing out.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes. I get it. Yet…
I encourage you to see fear as a sign that you’re on the right path. To open your mind to see that pain is a precursor to growth. Our muscles literally tear apart in order to grow. After you push through a challenging workout, how do you feel? Strong. Confident. Proud. The same thing happens emotionally. After we allow our painful feeling and learn from it, how do we feel afterwards? Like a badass. Like a warrior. Like a stronger, more evolved version of you!
The path of the warrior is to shift from avoiding fear to viewing it as your teacher. Listen in as I help give you tools to feel the fear and do it anyways.

4 Things You Must Do To Live a Life You Love

4 Things You Must Do To Live a Life You Love

I have the best job in the world.
I get to see people’s best selves.
It’s like I have a superpower. Everywhere I look, I see people’s potential.
When I work with people, it’s almost as if I’m working with 2 people: their current self and their future best self.
I see what’s possible for them. I can see the joy, freedom, and ease that’s possible in their future.
Here’s what I can’t do: I can’t make that future self a reality for them. I can’t force them to think certain things. I can’t force them to take certain actions.
As a coach, I can have all the knowledge, share all the fancy tools, and be full of amazing encouragement. Yet if clients don’t believe in my future vision for them, it will never happen for them. If they don’t believe that it’s possible for them, they won’t take the action necessary to become that future best self.
Learn the 4 things you must do to live that life that my superpower can see for you!

Survival Guide to Send Your Child to College

Survival Guide to Send Your Child to College

If you have a kid leaving for college (or even heading to kindergarten or preschool), you are going to be full of big and often conflicting emotions. Your logical mind can tell you that everything is “fine”; that your child is supposed to be going to college or kindergarten; that this is actually a magnificent opportunity. Yet, your emotional mind will probably be in a completely different place full of fear, sadness, regret, guilt, worry, you name it. This inner conflict leaves us feeling like we’re losing our mind. Crying with joy in one moment and crying in angst in the next. I’m here to tell you that you’re not losing your mind and offer a path out of this inner turmoil.
