We waste a lot of time getting distracted from our best lived life. Thinking we need to do what others want us to do or focusing too much on our weaknesses instead of strengthening our strengths.
We waste a lot of time avoiding our life in our thoughts and in our actions.
We think up excuses of why things are as they are. We take action that isn’t most aligned for us. Looking on facebook, drinking, organizing our desk, you name it.
Let’s stop wasting time.

New Year’s Resolutions or a Word of the Year?
Well, here we are. At the end of a year that none of us could have ever imagined.
There were many many lessons and discoveries this past calendar year, and if I could highlight one above all it would be this: we do not have as much control over the external circumstances of our lives as we like to think we do.
Things happen around us. Quarantines, violence, elections, to name a few. 2020 reminded us that, as individuals, we have limited control over many events and outcomes in our life. This is not new. It’s just that 2020 has brought it into more acute focus than before.
As a coach intensely interested in your wellbeing and feeling state, I passionately encourage you to choose a word of the year instead of making new years resolutions.
Not only do resolutions rely on external circumstances out of our control, they focus on our short comings and our past actions.

Emotional Abuse, Manipulation and Emotional Immaturity
Fear has no place in love.
Deep connected relationships have a foundation of understanding and love, not tiptoeing and fear.

Sober Living with Lori Massicot

While we don’t have control over a lot of what’s happening in our lives, we do have control over our reaction and thoughts about what’s happening.

Whatever and wherever we put attention on grows.
When we train our brain to look for what’s wrong in the world or in our life, we find evidence for that. I am here to assure you that the opposite is also true. When we look for what is right in our life, for what’s awesome in the world, we find evidence for that also.
